Eddershaws launches modern furniture gallery
WITH the closure of Maskreys where does the discerning customer go for good quality, contemporary furniture with a difference?
Eddershaws has established a reputation as a retailer of traditional furniture, priding itself on the individualism of the range offered, its eclecticism and even eccentricity.
Now the company is filling the gap in the furniture market left by the loss of Maskreys by branching out into something different.
The launch of a Modern Furniture Gallery based in their Hadfield Road Store, Cardiff, is the culmination of experience in quality and unique interiors, Eddershaws new Modern Furniture Gallery brings together the individuality and creativity from European designers including those working here in wales.
The newly opened department has a selection of both leather and fabric sofas, with slim line styles perfect for modern living, to deeper more luxurious designs. Dining furniture is available in finishes ranging from Oak to Walnut, Glass to Stone, all complimented by their occasional pieces.
The department also displays a selection of accessories, rugs, scatter cushions and lighting, which provide the finishing touches that make a house a home and reflects who you are.
Everything is displayed in an open plan loft space, which provides a tastefully conceived back drop for the furniture and creates a look that anyone would aspire to achieve.
To bring to the store the expertise required to assemble an original and truly modern collection, Kathryn Hughes has joined the company as Modern Furniture Buyer and Department Manager.
Formerly the Interior Designer and Assistant Furniture Buyer at Maskreys, Miss Hughes believes many people will be looking for the style of furniture Eddershaws provides.
“We have recently completed a new shop front to reflect the quality of the store and are working on a complete overhaul of our website to enhance the display of what is available and the stores ethos,” said Miss Hughes.
She added: “The store also showcases a large collection of art, along with Classical and Country furniture as well as the new Modern range all of which comes with a personal service from the time you enter the store to delivery of the furniture.”
Eddershaws, located on Hadfield Road near the Cardiff City Stadium, is within easy reach of the Leckwith Retail Park and offers free adequate parking and a Tea Shop with a relaxing ambience.
The store is a destination of choice where customers can view furniture of distinction.
